Hooman is a business, marketing and sustainability professional in the San Francisco Bay area (Marin County) where he enjoys the beauty and the majesty of the surrounding hills with his wife and daughter. He has been involved in the high-tech industry and most recently in the Socially Responsible Business and “Green” movement for the past 16 years. First and foremost, Conscious Currents is a way in which I can share my inner voice(conscious currents) with those who are willing and able to hear my frequencies aimed at bringing greater light into the truth of our existence and struggles. I have found that only when I am able to peal away the illusions that have been created and embedded in our collective consciousness, layer by layer, generation by generation, that I am able to begin to see things in a different way. When we raise our consciousness, that which we’ve come to know as truth or reality is transformed. It is beyond the practice of “mindfulness” in traditions such as Buddhism. It is truly an exercise in regression… becoming a child once again and seeing the world with fresh eyes, ones that have not been tainted by education, news sources, media sources, our parents, our culture, our country, our scientific community or our very own mind. Only then can we evaluate what is in front of us today with a discerning eye.

I could have just as easily written a blog on the latest electronic gadgets, the latest green-tech, clean-tech discovery, but it is the persuit of this subtle, almost faint truth in the noise of all this “stuff” that I feel my unique contribution can help change our collective condition on this planet for the better. This blog will cover Green issues, Business issue, Consumer issues, Health, Medicine, Art and even Political issues of our “current” time, all awhile weaving a more conscious and perhaps twisting and shifting perspective. This perspective will be informed at times by a combination of forces, including the present moment, my reactions and interactions, my enculturations, my history, my emotional state as well as my knowledge of science, history, teachers, human nature, and where necessary a healthy dose of spiritual, mystic, esoteric, and ancient wisdom.

I hope that you will find this blog entertaining and inspiring. I try my best (and not always succeed) to question reality and truth so I hope you will join me in that quest and question my presentation of just that. Please keep in mind that we, all of us, are walking our unique paths towards enlightenment and along our path there are miss-steps, detours, and sometimes dead-ends, even so, we must bear the light for each other if we are all to arrive home safely….
